En 5 años A preparamos una actividad super chula de Thanksgiving con nuestra teacher Whitney... We love our turkeys!!! <3

The three goats

4 years old A and B were reading and learning about the tale of "the three Billy Goats" with their teacher Whitney. First, kids listened to the story. Another day they were painting the characters individually. Finally, they worked ina pairs to build the Troll's Bridge. This activity was fun and children also learnt the story.

Los niños de 3ºB haciendo una actividad sobre los 5 sentidos en la asignatura de Science. Al principio tenían sólo un paquete. Tuvieron que describir como sonaba, que aspecto tenía, como olía, si estaba blandito o no.... cuando por fin llegamos al gusto, descubrieron lo que había oculto tras el papel; eran muffins! Las probaron entusiasmados y pudieron adivinar si estaban dulces, saladas....¡fue una actividad muy divertida! Almudena

Project Based Learning

Project Based Learning (PBL) is key to the development of habilities our pupils will need in the future, such as group working, managing information and also presentations and communicative competence. This is why in Altamira we start working PBL on 5th grade and sometimes before. In next pictures you can see how 5th grade works and presentate their science project about the classification of living things... ENJOY!

Is it really Paris?

No, it isn't. We visited Europa Park in Torrejón de Ardoz. We played a lot, learnt a lot and completed our passports with useful information about many interesting things.

Who comes to town? SANTA!!

Hello everyone!!. Just wanted to show you how our pupils of 3ºB rocked last Christmas. In Altamira School, we prefer rockin' rather than the traditional christmas songs and these kids really did it!!

Really thankful for many things

HALLOWEEN 2015

This year, our secondary students have done their best decorating the school entrance as if you were walking into a graveyard. It was totally scary!!!. They also made crafts : spiderwebs with sticks and rope, skeletons using cotton buds and many more. They all had a great time!! Here is the proof

THE BIG CHALLENGE AWARD CEREMONY. 2015

The award ceremony for the Big Challenge contest took place on June 11th. All the students who participated in the contest met in the school gym and there, they enjoyed an amazing ceremony where each participant received an official certificate as well as a magazine but that wasn’t all. There were lots of prizes  for the luckiest ones: travel guides, reading books, dictionaries, posters, t-shirts, flags and many more…

For the first students in each level there was the school award medal, awesome!!!!

This year we have had a student with a special mention: Clara Quereda from 2^nd of ESO A. She won the TWENTY AWARD 2015 for being the student who got 20 one after the other correct answers. Congratulations Clara!!!!!! And enjoy your UK flag pillow!!

All the English teachers want to congratulate all the participants and motivate them learning English with an educational experience.
